Star Wars Episode 9

Star Wars Episode 9 (The Rise of Skywalker) :

Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And in December, their adventure — along with the entire Skywalker saga of nine movies — will meet some kind of conclusion when Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker comes to theaters.

Thanks to reveals made at Star Wars Episode 9: Celebration Chicago in April. A big cover story was published by Vanity Fair in the month of May and a 9th episode of Star Warspresentation at Disney’s biannual convention in the month of August, fans now have the first trailer, looks at brand-new characters, a nifty poster and plenty of hints about what the Skywalker saga’s conclusion is going to bring.

The movie of Star Wars has a lot to live up to. Director Jan.John. Abrahms will need to find a way to offer an ending to the reveal of Star Wars movie universe following a mixed reception to The Last Jedi and Solo’s box office flop. Also, it’s not like his Force Awakens was reality and criticism-free — some fans knocked it for evoking the original Star Wars film too predictably. He’s also dealing with the challenge of keeping Leia Organa a central character despite the death of actress Carrie Fisher since in 2016.

Originally the film was set to be directed by Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow. But the writer or director left from the project last year leading Abrahms to step in and the film’s release date be pushed back in a few months.

Development Of Star Wars :

To have no script and not to have a release date and have it be essentially a two-year window when you’re saying (to yourself), you have got two years from the decision to do it to release this project. And you have literally nothing…. You don’t have the story, you don’t have the cast, you don’t have the designers, the directors, the sets. There was a crew, and there were the things that will be worked on for the version that preceded your’s but this was starting over.

In August 2015, Colin Trevorrow was announced as director for Episode 9. As Jan.John. Abrahms and Rian Johnson had to ensure a smooth transition between two episodes (Episodes 7 and 8). Johnson and Trevorrow worked closely to ensure a continuity between their respective films. With cinematographer John Schwartzman, Trevorrow planned to shoot on 65 milimeter film, and  he wanted to capture some footages in actual outer space. By 2016, Lucasfilm had developed a full outline of this film, which Trevorrow then turned into a screenplay. He presented the completed script to Lucasfilm in early December of that year.
